TRAVEL APPROVAL

Praise the Lord!!
We got the call today....  TA (also known as TRAVEL APPROVAL)!!!  What is so cool about this?  Kailey will be there when our sweetness finds out about his family!
So...Here's "our"plan....  We will move Kailey into Covenant College on the 17th and 18th and then we (the rest of the Franks' clan) will fly to China a few days later.  Our agency is requesting our CA (Consulate Appointment) and we hope to hear back by this evening or tomorrow sometime.  If we get one of our first two choices, then we will be leaving around the 23rd or 24th of August.  SO. EXCITED.   Please continue to pray and that God works it all out.  Ultimately, He's got this and knows the exact dates we will be traveling.  Jeremiah 29:11

Kailey to China

Currently, Kailey is on her way to China.  She will be staying at Shepherd's Field for two weeks.  Yes.... Shepherd's Field is where our sweet boy Greyson lives.  Kailey was given the opportunity to go and serve with the team there in China.  What a wonderful opportunity; however, this mom is anxious for her to land.  Before leaving Chicago, Kailey called and said she met a sweet Christian couple who teach English in Beijing.  How awesome that God connected Kailey to them.  What's even more amazing is when Kailey boarded, she realized these two were seated right next to her.  Go God!!  Not sure why I'm always surprised at how God is in even the little things.  He cares for every single detail.  What peace it gives Greg and I to know this couple is there with her and is experienced in traveling within China.
Once there... Shepherd's Field will pick Kailey up and after her short drive to the Children's Village (foster home of our little guy), she will soon meet her little brother!  I'm so happy God has given her this opportunity.  Kailey so loves children and has (for many years) said she wants to be a missionary in China.  Well... this is a glimpse into what that might look like.  I just can't wait to hear from her.  Please keep her in your prayers.

ARTICLE 5

We received notification that our Article 5 was picked up yesterday!!  What is next?  TRAVEL APPROVAL.... and you guessed it, our final step will be TRAVEL!  Please continue to pray during these last few weeks.  Pray for our sweet boy Greyson and that God would begin to prepare his heart for the huge change that will take place in his life very soon.  He is at Shepherd's Field Children's Village.  It's a wonderful loving foster home for special needs children.  Greyson turns four on August 18th and so this transition could be a little hard for him.  We know God has called us to this precious child and we know He is going before us.

"Things" just don't matter

Things.... they can be such a distraction.  You see... we have this late 1800's piano that is absolutely beautiful.  The Lord has been laying it on my heart to sell.  Sadly, it's been hard for me to do so.  Well... I finally posted it on Craigslist and you guessed it... It sold fast!  Even had twice the offer that I had posted it for.  God is amazing!  He always provides just on time.  I've tried to sell the piano before with no luck at all.  This time it sold fast.  Why?  I believe it's because we are in the last stages of our adoption and the Lord is providing.  That precious child means more than this "absolutely beautiful" piano.  Things really just don't matter... The life of a precious orphan does.

Greyson Coy ShunLi Franks

It's a boy!  God is so good and faithful.  Our son, Greyson Coy Shunli Franks, is almost four years old.  We are just beside ourselves and can't wait to bring him home.  We anticipate traveling sometime in August.
